‘Love Me Tender’ (1956) Young Elvis Presley makes his big movie debut in this post civil war action drama. Richard Egan plays outlaw big brother Vance, Elvis the younger brother Clint, with Debra Paget the romantic interest between the two. When big brother fails to return home from the war and is presumed dead, Clint romances and marries Vance’s former sweetheart. When big brother makes a surprise return things get very complicated and do not end well. Elvis softens the tensions with four good songs including the title song. Filmed in Cinemascope, enjoy it on the Empire’s big screen with friends.
